Teacher Expectations:
    •    Students will come to class prepared, participate on a regular basis, and be on time.
    •    Students will demonstrate appropriate class behavior by following all classroom and school  rules.
    •    Students will ask questions to gain deeper understanding of material.
    •    Students will respect other student’s personal belongings and opinions.
    •    Students will be responsible for their academic performance by paying close attention during class,  maintaining organized handouts, completing/submitting assignments on time, obtaining make up work when absent,  and seeking extra help when needed.

Student Expectations:
    •    Teacher will provide a safe learning environment.
    •    Teacher will instruct in a way that students can understand.
    •    Teacher will care about student’s well being.
    •    Teacher will be fair.
    •    Teacher will treat students with respect.
    •    Teacher will challenge students intellectually.

Academic Expectations:
    •    Homework every night (Approximately 4-8  pages of reading and/or note taking or worksheet)
    •    Pop Quizzes
    •    Chapter tests approximately every 2-3 weeks
    •    Five paragraph essays every quarter
    •    Document Based Questions
    •    Primary Source Document Analysis
